About This Opportunity About this opportunity CarnaudMetalbox Engineering are recruiting for a Buyer to join our team based at Shipley, West Yorkshire. The successful candidate will undertake responsibility for purchasing of a specified category of Direct materials and / or Indirect subcontracted services in line with the Departmental structure based upon Category Management. Your mission You will have knowledge and understanding of Purchasing Best Practices and experience in challenging current processes and proposing improvements. Proactive and positive outlook to implementing change. Experience in procuring direct materials for manufacturing businesses. The ideal candidate will have solid understanding of MRP systems to optimise inventory management and procurement process. Proficient in technical sourcing based on engineering drawings, with experience in international sourcing to expand suppler networks. Work with business units to communicate and improve delivery and update systems accordingly, review and develop suppliers, negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers. About You You are professional with a proven track record in a commercial engineering environment. You are qualified or actively working towards CIPS Level 4. Your knowledge and understanding of purchasing best practice enable you to contribute effectively to the procurement process. A solid understanding and knowledge in MS Word, Excel. Team player with excellent communication and administration skills. The ability to work autonomously and constantly re-prioritise own workload. Full Driving License required and ability to travel internationally.
