About us
We are looking to recruit Associate Lecturers (Teaching) who will join the UCL Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Public Policy (STEaPP). STEaPP is an inherently interdisciplinary department, with a mandate to develop relationships with diverse external policy, industry and civil society stakeholders, both in the UK and internationally.
About the role
The posts are a developmental opportunity, well-suited to early-career applicants wanting to gain more knowledge and experience in academia and teaching. We welcome and encourage applicants interested in part-time work, these contracts are intended to be six months in duration but must finish by 31st July 2025 (whichever is soonest, depending on start date).
About you
Individuals will have outstanding team-working skills, creativity and initiative in the application of technologically mediated learning, as well as specialist subject knowledge and experience relevant to STEaPP. The successul applicants will contribute to the design and development of a new distance-learning taught postgraduate programme that is due to launch in September 2025. Post holders will apply their knowledge and interest in the interface between public policy and science, technology and engineering to assist in the design of asynchronous digital learning activities, research case studies and topical content, and develop online learning materials. Additional on-campus teaching and assessment opportunities are expected across STEaPP’s undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes.
