We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team of staff that are committed to supporting our pupils with learning difficulties and disabilities.
The successful candidate will need to have GCSE qualification grade C/level 5 or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths, and the ability to deal with challenging behaviour and to motivate and encourage students. Ideally, they will also have experience in supporting autistic children.
The pay band for the role is Scale 3 (point 5 to 6), which is £23,500 to £23,893.
The hours of work for the role will be 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8.55am to 3.30pm, with a team meeting finishing at 4.00pm on Tuesdays) and this will be required term time, plus five staff training days (39 weeks in total).
The actual salary for the role is £15,246.17 to £15,501.13 (under 5 years' service) or £15,450.81 to £15,709.20 (over 5 years' service).
