Nursery Deputy Manager
Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a lovely Nursery in Redwick. This 60-place setting is looking to recruit an inspirational, bubbly, motivated, and passionate candidate for their Nursery Deputy Manager who must be great at using your initiative, hard-working, and an inspiring role-model for their young learners. They are also seeking a Qualified Nursery Practitioner to complete their team.
The ideal Nursery Deputy Manager candidate will need to have excellent organisation and managerial skills together with a well-driven, passionate attitude, along with an approach to provide a loving, nurturing, safe environment filled with warmth and promise where individuals' talents are encouraged to flourish and grow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure the safeguarding of all children, staff, parents, and visitors is paramount and nursery policies and procedures are understood and followed by all staff.
2. Oversee the quality of childcare provided.
3. Build strong relationships with parents and staff.
4. Undertake time in the nursery rooms as a role model.
5. Ensure the nursery always meets Ofsted requirements.
6. Implement an effective and creative method of communication with staff, children, and parents through a variety of means.
7. Plan and deliver a programme of activities suitable to the age range and ability of children in your area in conjunction with other staff.
8. Assist with the planning and organisation of staffing schedules and holiday rotas to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in accordance with Ofsted and nursery procedures.
9. Undertake duties of the Nursery Manager in their absence or when required on a temporary basis or any other reasonable duties which may be identified by the manager.
10. At all times act in accordance with the ethos and values of the association and the general standards expected of all employees.
Essential Criteria
1. NVQ Level 3 in Childcare equivalent or above.
2. A good level of general education, to at least GCSE level in English and Maths, or equivalent.
3. Safeguarding and Child Protection Training in date.
4. Experience of working to OFSTED Standards.
5. Detailed knowledge of EYFS, Statutory and Learning and Development.
6. Knowledge, understanding, and practical experience of Day Care for young children.
7. Able to enhance children’s learning and development.
