The Role: We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to lead our landlord responsibilities for Housing Revenue Account (HRA) asset management and maintenance. This is a unique opportunity to redefine our approach to asset management, investment and compliance in an ever-evolving housing landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement the Asset Management Strategy for HRA housing stock, ensuring alignment with economic, environmental and service quality objectives.
* Oversee a varied portfolio of around 8,000 homes, working closely with a range of colleagues.
* Manage a £50M annual revenue and capital budget, ensuring financial efficiency and value for money.
* Lead on programmed maintenance, reactive maintenance and support our decarbonisation agenda to achieve net zero by 2040.
* Ensure compliance with the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023 and other relevant legislation.
* Engage with residents and stakeholders to ensure the strategy stays on track.
* Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
About You:
* Chartered Member of RICS or equivalent professional body.
* Proven experience in asset management within social housing or local government.
* Strong background in budget management and financial planning.
* Knowledge of compliance and safety standards in housing.
* Excellent data management and analytical skills.
* Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to manage complex programmes of work and drive change.
* Highly collaborative with demonstrable experience of working in partnership with contractors to optimise delivery.
