Lancashire County Council’s Children and Family Wellbeing Service is looking for a dynamic and innovative Family Support Development Officer to join our management team. This exciting role is central to our ambition of delivering a leading families first model focusing on early intervention, prevention, and a whole family approach.
In this newly created post, you will share our ambition to provide a children, young people and families service that delivers exceptional early intervention and meaningful support to prevent escalation and improve outcomes.
Your role will include:
* Focus:
The role centres around improving services for children, young people, and families, often with a specific focus on national initiatives.
* Responsibilities:
o Development: Developing new services and initiatives to meet the needs of families.
o Delivery: Ensuring the effective implementation of services.
o Collaboration: Work closely with senior managers, stakeholders, and strategic partners to develop and enhance service delivery.
o Review: Evaluating the effectiveness of existing services and identifying areas for improvement.
o National Initiatives: Working in relation to national developments like Family Hubs, Family Help, Holiday Activities Fund, and Reducing Parental Conflict.

o Excellent organisational skills

o Effective decision-making
o Good team player.
o Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
o Effective negotiating skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of partners/stakeholders/staff.
