Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Health & Benefits team at Mercer. This role will be based in London and is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As the Senior Health & Benefits Consultant II, you will play a critical role in leading consulting engagements with employers regarding their medical, dental, life, disability benefit plans and programs. In this role, you will negotiate with benefits carriers and vendors to secure health and welfare plan coverage for these employers. As a consultant, you will lead business development opportunities and set business development strategy and tactics for the relevant market.
We will count on you to:
1. Leading client engagements, including managing overall service delivery, strategy, financial evaluations, plan design, renewals, business placement, benchmarking and other studies
2. Developing benefits design and renewal strategies and driving the development of tools and solutions to address client issues
3. Effectively communicate Mercer's position on latest industry trends to clients
4. Being accountable for revenue/profitability for client accounts and projects
5. Generating sales by expanding revenues from existing clients and by leading prospecting efforts with new clients
6. Setting strategic direction that creates demand for new products/services in the marketplace
What you need to have:
7. BA/BS degree
8. At least 8 years’ experience in identifying, designing, recommending and implementing efficient, innovative business solutions to clients' health care benefits challenges
9. Valid and current LLQP license
10. Renowned expertise and industry reputation in the health & benefits field
11. Superior analytical, mathematical, and strategic planning skills; coupled with excellent communication and listening skills
12. Demonstrated management skills in leading projects
13. Excellent organizational and time management skills
14. Proficient in Excel and working knowledge of the MS Office suite
