Are you a dedicated and experienced Housing Manager? As the Housing Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the housing team and department.
ROLE: Housing Manager (Fully Site Based)
CONTRACT: Temp-Perm
KEY AREAS: Housing Management, Allocations/Lettings, Safeguarding, Fraud Prevention, Member Engagement.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the housing services department and ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.
2. Manage a team of housing officers.
3. Develop and implement housing management strategies to optimise occupancy rates and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
4. Provide guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of housing services.
5. Collaborate with external partners, stakeholders, and contractors to facilitate the provision of quality housing services.
6. Promoting a Safe Environment: Uphold and actively promote safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of all members, particularly vulnerable individuals in line with confidentiality procedures/policies and GDPR.
7. Monitor and analyse housing market trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies.
8. Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure that housing services meet established standards.
9. Prepare and present reports on housing services performance, including key metrics, to senior management.
10. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in housing management.
Requirements:
1. Comprehensive understanding of housing services and regulations.
2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
4. Proven track record in developing and implementing housing management strategies to improve service delivery.
5. Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
6. Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and housing/property management software.
This is a temp-perm contract position with the potential for extension based on organisational needs.
