Due to ongoing success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled design team with the addition of a Mechanical Design Engineer.
We are looking for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer. If you’re a driven & highly motivated person wishing to craft out a successful and rewarding future in what is a truly unique environment, this could be the role for you. You will be working on a variety of commercial projects, producing design for use in the renewables sector.
THE ROLE:
1. Working in the design team on a range of Design projects, the company designs a range of systems, used for mounting.
2. Taking a lead on R&D projects.
3. Responsible for Geotechnical calculations for site specific projects.
4. Working closely with the sales team, producing quick design where required to enable quotations to be presented to prospects.
5. Modifying existing products across the range, to ensure efficiency is maintained and they stay ahead of the competition.
6. Travel to sites where required, this is not a large part of the role and will be fairly rare.
THE PERSON:
7. Experience using a design package such as Revit or Tekla structures.
8. Knowledge of the Renewables sector.
9. Experience doing design related calculations.
10. Ability to design for manufacture and assembly.
11. Problem solving and trouble shooting ability.
12. Chartered Structural Engineer (ideally).
