Depot Manager / Service Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Depot Manager to oversee our operations at our Gloucester depot. The Depot Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the depot, ensuring efficient operations, and providing excellent customer service. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, sales management experience, and the ability to supervise a team.
Duties:
1. Manage all aspects of depot operations, including inventory management, order processing, and customer service.
2. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability.
3. Supervise and train depot staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
4. Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
5. Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
6. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, resolving issues promptly.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a managerial role within a depot or similar environment.
2. Strong administrative skills with excellent time management abilities.
3. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team.
4. Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
5. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills.
6. Sales management experience is preferred.
