Leading and developing the recently-launched Student Solutions Centre, the role of Student Centre Manager will ensure the delivery of a seamless, high-quality, and consistent support and experience offer to our students throughout their studies.
With significant staff management experience, you will manage a team of Student Centre Assistants who provide front-line advice and triage to students along with administrative assistance to the Student Life teams. You will also be in charge of the success and continual development of the Student Solutions Centre in line with customer needs and the Aston 2030 Strategy.
With a passion for customer service and experience, you will shape the Student Solutions Centre and deliver sector-leading support under Our Promise to Students, a key strategic objective in the 2030 Strategy.
You will bring:
Inspiring leadership to develop the Centre operations, ensuring that they align to the University strategy and support a seamless student journey.
Managerial expertise guiding your responsibility for the success and continual development of the operational service delivery of the Centre, with management of the Student Centre Assistants.
Acuity that ensures the service is adapted to suit all modes of delivery and assists omni-channel delivery.
Customer Service insight to develop service strategies which ensure that all teams working from the Centre continue to progress in our fast-changing environment.
Leadership experience to develop and be accountable for a team and culture that supports students in resolving any difficulties or concerns as they arise, including the timely and accurate referral to relevant teams.
The role is mainly campus based and a flexible approach to work, including occasional evening and weekends, when necessary.
The salary being offered for this role is below the minimum threshold for required to sponsor new applicants to the Skilled Worker route. However, Aston University may be able to sponsor the successful candidate if they:
Are under 26 years old
Have held a Student or Graduate visa in the last 2 years
Are already in the UK with a Tier 2 or Skilled Worker visa issued before April 4th 2024
