About the Role
Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge in a pivotal renewable energy project? We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team working on a major substation build in Crossaig. This role offers the chance to contribute to an essential infrastructure project at the forefront of the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the commercial aspects of the substation project, ensuring budgetary control and cost management.
Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate financial reporting, cost forecasting, and procurement planning.
Conduct cost analysis to identify efficiencies and implement cost-saving measures.
Administer contracts and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Provide expert advice on contractual issues, including risk mitigation and dispute resolution.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction or power industries.
In-depth understanding of construction contracts and procurement procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent negotiation skills.
Desirable:
Membership with RICS or CIOB is beneficial but not required.
