The Reactive Services Business Development Manager role offers a fantastic opportunity for a proven individual to join one of the UK’s most dynamic industries and a company that continues to innovate, deliver meaningful change and make a real difference to household names. We are looking for an individual that is passionate about sustainable solutions and will create a go-to-market offering that has sustainability at its core. You will build and maintain a pipeline of high value, focused purely on new Reactive Services business to deliver profitable growth for the Industrial and Commercial division. Reporting into the Head of Commercial – Reactive Services you will be given the opportunity to thrive in an ever-changing marketplace.
Your core responsibilities:
* Explore, identify and manage new business tendering opportunities in order to secure and grow the business.
* Freedom to develop creative solutions and value propositions.
* The team's senior link to internal stakeholders across the breadth of the business to design and build an innovative and sustainable proposition using the Reactive services network that provides a unique go-to-market offering.
* Develop new business relationships and successfully manage the sales process, through lead generation, sales presentations, proposal solutions, negotiation, close, and handover to the account management team.
* Respond to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner. You will effectively interact with other departments including the account management and internal teams when handing over new customers, ensuring you fully and correctly brief in all aspects of the sale.
* Manage sales prospects (client average order values circa £500k) with a minimum overall sales pipeline value of £15 to £20 million.
Our essential requirements:
* Ability and vision to take internal stakeholders and clients on a journey into innovative waste models with confidence.
* 3 years’ experience in a comparable field-based business development role.
* Proven track record in sales, selling contracted services worth a minimum of £500,000 per annum.
* A high level of aptitude with Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* A charismatic communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
