Job summary To provide a point of contact for patients and act as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors and other health care professionals. To supervise, oversee and coordinate the reception staff to provide an efficient and effective service to patients, doctors and staff. Main duties of the job 1 Supervise, coordinate and guide the reception team. Team meetings and minute taking 2 Reception duties including GSF /PPG administration 3 Assisting reception manager with QOF targets and audits 4 Coordination of appointment system 5 Registrations / online Services and email management 6 Start and end of day procedures / General Housekeeping / responsible for SOI and DNR procedures and cervical screening process 7 Any other delegated duties considered appropriate to the post About us Pennygate Medical Centre is a large GP Practice based in Hindley, Wigan. We currently provide GP services to nearly 19000 patients. We are an extremely large team which includes10 GP Partners and 6 salaried GP's, 3 ANP's. 5 Nurses and 3 Health Care Assistants. We have a strong and supportive management team and a large admin team comprising of reception team, coding team, secretarial team and prescribing team. The surgery also provides a base for a wide range of community care teams and is a part of the Hindley Primary Care Network.
