Job summary The Integrated Community Paediatric Service (ICPS)is looking for a dynamic and experienced paediatric nurse to provide leadership and line management to the Special Schools Nursing Team and Training Team. The Special Schools Nursing Team provide service to the four special schools in Bolton. They ensure that the health and wellbeing of the children and young people(CYP) is maximised and support education staff to meet their needs through training and care plans. The safety of the CYP is paramount and safeguarding is integral to the role. The Training Team delivers clinical skills training to nurseries, mainstream schools, social care and also supports the training of registered staff and healthcare support workers in the ICPS. The Team Leader will promote effective team work within the wider ICPS, health, social care, education and voluntary service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services for children, young people and their families. Main duties of the job As a Team Leader within the service, provide effective leadership and line management to the Special Schools Team, Training Team and the wider Integrated Community Paediatric Service. To work with and support the Matron, with the development of practice initiatives, encouraging innovation and development and ensuring that the team participate in patient safety and quality improvement programmes. To establish and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, other health, education and social care providers, so as to provide a comprehensive service to children, young people and their families. To participate in multi-agency working groups at a local and regional level to develop services and policies for children and young people with health needs in the community. To work in partnership with other health professionals and agencies to safeguard children and young people.
