This post is a developmental post. Progression from band 7 to band 8a is subject to the post holder being able to evidence that they have met all criteria required for the role. This will be reviewed at regular intervals with the clinical supervisor and line manager. It is expected that in order for the post holder to progress that they would have successfully completed the ISW training, have had experience supervising assistant psychologists, trainee psychologists and other professionals; have received post qualification training in an area relevant to this role; have led on teaching or training for a range of professionals; have led on consultations and are able to work with increasingly complex presentations (as available within the role). We anticipate that progression would take place over and beyond a 2 year period from qualification from the Doctoral training course and would involve close supervision from a clinical supervisor and use of the live supervision model. If the post holder already has significant band 7 post qualification experience, then the progression time period may be reduced. Main duties of the job
The main duties of the post will be to provide specialist, bespoke assessment and psychological interventions for the people referred into the East Riding Core CAMHS Team. This will be delivered either face to face at base or at other Humber Trust sites or delivered remotely as required.
To provide consultation and supervision to Humber Trust staff and our partner agencies as experience is gained and as part of your development as a practitioner.
To contribute to the day-to-day business and running of the psychology provision within the team.
To attend specialty meetings and stay connected professionally with psychology colleagues.
To engage in projects and contribute towards service development within the team.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers and their application to clinical and service area, e.g. Mental Capacity Act, Social Inclusion, Autism
* Advanced/expert understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area
* Skills in co-ordinating programmes of care, and providing consultation and specialist advice to other professional and non-professional groups
* Doctoral level knowledge of research design and methodology, and application of this to research and development activity within the service area
* Evidence of policy implementation and development
* Broadly based knowledge of the theory and practice of assessment of mental health conditions and advanced psychological therapies for the treatment of children and young people with complex mental health needs
Qualifications
* Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology or its equivalent
* Clinical supervision training for doctoral trainees
* Post-doctoral training in one or more specialised areas of psychological practice
Experience
* Demonstrates experience of conducting highly specialist diagnostic assessments with children, young people and / or adults.
* Knowledge of and experience in the use of a wide range of psychometric and other objective assessment tools as applied in neurodevelopmental and mental health work and across the ability range
* Advanced report writing skills
