SLC have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Executive to join our Legal Service department. The Legal Services department supports all areas of SLC and forms part of within the wider Product, Customer and External Relations directorate. As part of continued investment by SLC in the Legal Services Department, we are recruiting for additional roles to expand the team to enable it to continue to provide highly regarded legal advice and support to meet the needs of the business. In this role you will work with the Legal Support Services Manager and the wider Legal Services Team to ensure delivery of best practice in freedom of information (“FOI”) matters having regard to public sector compliance. You will also assist the wider Legal Services Team and the Company Secretary with matters including, but not limited to, civil litigation, Companies House filings, departmental administrative tasks and legal research and support. SLC offer a blended working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home. What you bring: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and summarise information succinctly Strong capability to work autonomously and under pressure, meeting tight deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Previous experience working with confidential information Nice to have but not essential - law degree or experience working within a law firm/law services, civil court knowledge, practical FOI request handling and familiarity with Data Protection legislation You can expect more from a career with SLC.
