Location: South East (Ref: ABJ7346)
Type: Permanent
Are you a scientist with experience designing and leading scientific research programs across disciplines? Do you enjoy translating scientific findings into actionable business insights and presenting to stakeholders? Do you want a science role ‘out of the lab’?
As a Scientific Emerging Trends and Foresight Specialist, you would evaluate scientific research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to a portfolio of scientific findings, which would then be communicated to the R&D Leadership Team.
Your responsibilities would include monitoring scientific publications, conferences, clinical trials, and intellectual property (IP). You would assist the team in maintaining an awareness of developments in these areas. Once a potential opportunity or threat is identified, proof-of-concept (POC) investigations may be required to determine initial technical feasibility.
Depending on the foresight, investigations can range from in silico, in vitro, and, where appropriate, human studies to screen and evaluate. Alternatively, investigations can be conducted as accelerator projects with external partners (such as technology start-ups) using agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Technical leadership across categories

* Proven oral and written communication skills, including external presentations and technical reports/SOPs for internal use
* Critical thinking in data interpretation to provide strong conclusions and recommendations
* Proven scientific communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences
* Strong collaborative engagement and identification of external collaborations to enhance the scientific agenda
