The out of hours commitment is a 1 in 6 non-resident on-call Rota. There are close links between the University of Bristol and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust with the National Institute for Health Research Biomedical Research Unit in Cardiovascular Disease based at the Bristol Heart Institute and the jointly funded Clinical Research Imaging Centre at St Michaels Hospital.
