What is expected of a Registered Manager (Children’s Home), Gloucester?
* To provide a high quality of standard children’s residential home.
* To be the Registered Manager of the newly founded provision and be directly accountable to Ofsted.
* To work in collaboration with the Responsible Individual, providing support including hiring, training, and business projects.
* To manage, lead and support the Residential Staffing Team, communicating the company’s goals, safety practices, concerns, policies and deadlines.
* To keep the Managing Director updated on team performance and communicate concerns and policies among management and team members.
* To complete Quality Assurance alongside the Responsible Individual to meet expectations on recordings and care and support needs identified.
* To cover any annual leave for Residential staff, including appointments and direct support.
Other requirements for the Registered Manager (Children’s Home), Gloucester role:
* To have a clear understanding of the Children’s Home Regulations 2015.
* To ensure safeguarding of all children and young people, possessing excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues.
* To adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
* To participate in regular individual supervisions with the Responsible Individual.
* To work co-operatively and collaboratively with staff from other statutory and voluntary agencies in developing working partnerships.
* To be part of the interview panel and ensure relevant job descriptions and interview questions are available if the Business Support Officer is not available.
* To ensure the training matrix is up to date and to book staff with expired training as soon as possible, liaising with the Business Support Officer in allocating the training.
* To manage the Residential Staffing Team who operate from the home.
* To complete Residential Staff supervisions.
* To uphold Safeguarding by becoming the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
* To be responsible for Health and Safety.
* To be the person in charge and responsible for the day-to-day running of the home with 24-hour responsibility for the care and support of the children and young people.
* To provide choice and improvement for the children and young people.
