Junior Property Manager - Wells and Co Support Centre - Bedford, Bedfordshire Position We are seeking a motivated Trainee Property Manager to join our small but dynamic team at Wells & Co Family Brewer and Pub Company, responsible for delivering property management duties across a portfolio of Pub assets within the Northern Home Counties. You will be expected to conduct basic building inspections to diagnose defects and manage necessary maintenance / dilapidations. Therefore, a good knowledge of the legal and statutory compliance responsibilities associated to property management is a pre-requisite. Protecting and enhancing our building assets through regular Maintenance and Capex investment and ensuring that all construction activity is delivered to a high standard and within a defined budget will fall under your remit. Communication is key to this position as working with others, building strong business relationships and delivering great customer service is essential. You will work with external Designers, Contractors and Consultants, oversee capital refurbishment works into the Pub estate which seek to enhance the retail offer, capture new customers and grow current income. Naturally, you will be passionate about driving a positive environmental impact through property activity and will therefore continually review the products we specify and the practices we adopt, seeking out opportunities to reduce the company’s carbon footprint. Requirements The ideal candidate will have already spent the early part of their career in a property management role (either client side or private practice) and is now looking for the next step in their personal development. You will have good communication skills and an energetic approach to problem-solving. Professional Charter qualifications are not essential, as we are happy to provide training and development at each level to support your desire to develop. About YOU A passion to develop your career in an exciting and forward-looking business. Ideally degree educated with a relevant property qualification. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering surveying duties and property investment across a range of industry sectors. You will be suitably geographically located (Herts, Beds, Bucks) to ensure that you are effective in the delivery of your role. A competent user of technology and having sound knowledge of Microsoft business applications – Excel, Word, SharePoint, TEAMs Energy, self-motivation and a desire to deliver results.
