Job Description
Our Cheltenham Centre is looking to recruit a Motor Industry experienced Local Business Manager. The role involves prospecting local businesses, gaining Key Accounts, and following up showroom enquiries.
You will be responsible for:
1. Achieving agreed sales targets within defined operating and financial guidelines.
2. Contributing to the development of plans, policies, and procedures to ensure tasks are completed smoothly and timely.
3. Preparing and using a planned sales presentation to maximize results from sales opportunities.
4. Developing and utilizing a Customer follow-up and Prospecting System to create additional sales opportunities.
5. Contributing to maximum customer retention through effective delivery and handover of vehicles.
6. Developing and maintaining a sales call program as agreed with the Sales Manager.
7. Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all products, accessories, prices, and competitors' key features.
8. Handling customer queries and complaints to meet customer and company requirements.
9. Providing reports on sales activities, follow-up, prospecting, and new clients.
10. Keeping detailed records of sales activities and completing all sales and finance paperwork accurately and promptly.
11. Ensuring all customers are credit checked before order placement and that credit limits are in place before vehicle delivery.
12. Ensuring all outstanding amounts are paid within the required timescales.
13. Maintaining all demonstrators in a clean, tidy condition for customer use.
14. Using an approved FCA approach in the presentation and sale of financial and insurance products.
15. Maintaining customer satisfaction at all times.
16. Note: Successful candidates will operate from our Hereford BMW & MINI Centres regularly.
About the successful candidate:
1. Previous Corporate Sales experience within the automotive sector is required.
2. Well-presented, proactive, self-motivated, and tenacious.
3. Proven success in Business-to-Business Sales.
4. Dedicated to providing excellent customer care.
5. Possesses the character and attitude to succeed.
6. A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
