As a Food Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop essential life skills and a love for cooking, nutrition, and food science. This role is open to ECTs qualifying this year and unqualified teachers with relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver High-Quality Teaching – Plan and teach engaging Food Technology lessons that inspire creativity and practical skills.
* Curriculum Development – Contribute to the development of an engaging and relevant curriculum.
* Student Progress – Monitor and support students’ academic and personal development.
* Extracurricular Activities – Support and enhance the school’s extra-curricular offerings.
* Raising Attainment – Work towards improving student outcomes in Food Technology.
* Professional Development – Engage in training opportunities for career progression.
* Health & Safety Compliance – Ensure all lessons adhere to health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment.
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
* Strong subject knowledge and passion for Food Technology.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Safer Recruitment in Education check required.
