About Gendo
Within 18 months of founding we built an alpha product, beta product and, in summer of this year, launched our early-access product publicly. Today this product has thousands of users across many organisations, generating tens of thousands of images.
We pride ourselves on being a lean, focused and efficient team formed of highly talented individuals. This, and our product-driven mantra, led to us securing both substantial pre-seed-stage and seed-stage funding from renowned investors within the space, enabling us to expand our team and deliver on our ambitious vision.
What we value
At Gendo, design is at the core of our mission— both in the design of our products and also through its power to elevate creative expression, pushing the boundaries of architectural possibilities.
Driven by the power of collaboration, we have refined our technology in partnership with renowned firms such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Benoy, KPF, and David Chipperfield Architects, and of course within the Gendo team itself.
We take an exploratory approach to work, continuously innovating and seeking new ways to enhance the design process for our users.
Role Overview
As our Product Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in defining our product’s direction and ensuring that our roadmap is aligned with user needs and strategic goals. This role requires wearing a few hats: part product manager, part product/UX designer, and part growth-oriented thinker. You will be responsible for defining key features, creating wireframes when necessary, and leading the process from roadmap through design to development. Working closely with users and product analytics, you will leverage feedback from rapid iteration and testing to prioritise and refine features, translating insights into a coherent, actionable product strategy.
The ideal candidate has experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry and understands the unique challenges and needs of this sector. However, we’re primarily looking for someone with a strong product management background who can thrive in ambiguity and help us to bring order, clarity, and direction to our product.
Key Responsibilities
1. Defining product features and maintaining a cohesive product roadmap that aligns with our strategic goals and user needs.
2. Guiding the end-to-end product process, from roadmap to wireframe to design, through to development, ensuring smooth communication and coordination across teams.
3. Collaborating closely with users, conducting interviews and usability tests to understand their needs, gather feedback, and make data-driven prioritisation decisions.
4. Translating insights from rapid iteration and testing into actionable product plans, balancing long-term vision with short-term iterations.
5. Acting as a growth-oriented product thinker, finding creative ways to enhance user engagement and retention.
6. Creating wireframes and initial UX concepts as needed, especially when detailed designs aren’t available.
7. Working alongside engineering and design teams, bridging the gap between vision and execution.
Requirements
1. 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally with experience in the AEC industry or in a SaaS environment with complex, feature-rich products.
2. Proven track record of defining and launching successful products, with experience managing the entire product lifecycle.
3. Strong understanding of UX principles, with the ability to create wireframes and rough design concepts when necessary.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and translate complex ideas into clear, actionable plans.
5. Analytical mindset and experience working with user data to inform product decisions.
6. Comfortable with ambiguity, able to bring direction and clarity to undefined product spaces.
7. Familiarity with agile development processes and tools for product management.
It would be a bonus for you to have:
1. Background in UX design, with experience creating wireframes and prototyping.
2. Knowledge of or experience in growth hacking, with an understanding of user engagement metrics and tactics.
3. Experience or familiarity with CAD or 3D modelling software (e.g. Blender, 3DS Max).
Why join Gendo?
1. Be a key player in driving the growth of a groundbreaking AI platform that is reshaping the architecture and design industry.
2. Collaborate with leading architects and designers from top firms like Zaha Hadid Architects and Benoy.
3. Work on challenging problems in AI with a high degree of autonomy and creativity.
4. Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your ideas and initiatives are valued.
5. Competitive compensation package, including performance-based incentives and equity options.
What we offer
1. This is a full time position, during which you’ll spend 3 days a week in either our London or Bristol office, and 2 days a week working remotely from home (in the UK).
2. Stock options; we firmly believe that you should share our future successes with ownership in the company.
3. 25 days holiday, plus a day off during your birthday week.
4. Private medical, dental and vision insurance.
5. Flexible well-being allowance (e.g. gym membership)
