We are looking for Support Workers to join our brilliant team at our Valley Road short breaks service. Valley Road is a 4 bed home offering customers a home away from home experience. Our customers range from 18 years old through to their mid 50’s with their stays ranging from 1 night to 2 weeks and can include a variety of activities including cooking and baking, sensory sessions, access to our large garden with our adapted adult swing, basketball, football, access to the local community which may be going out to pubs, cafes, cinema, parks, movie nights and pamper sessions. Evening shift is 3 pm - 10 pm. Our customers usually arrive back to our home from their daily activities at around 3pm, so after this time you will be supporting our customers with activities. 35 hours Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) the hours we have available are 7.30am - 3pm, or 3pm - 10pm or a long day of 7.30am - 10pm. 35 hours Morning shifts require you to work from 7.30am - 10am (or 11am if preferred) Monday - Friday 12.5 -17.5 hours There is an payment enhancement for the 7:30 am - 10 am shift. We also have a waking night shift which is paid at time and a half. 30 hours. This could be some sensory activities, baking, spending time in our fantastic garden or accessing the local community. You might then be required to prepare an evening meal with our customers or maybe just some encouragement and support for them to do so themselves, it could also include assisting with grooming/personal care and washing/dressing so our customers are ready for the day or ready for bed. Some of our customers will head to a day service whilst others may prefer to access the local area – we are supportive of our customers going out into the community, developing new friendships and doing their favourite things We have a range of customers with a range of hobbies and interests so no Two days are the same We are looking or candidates with some care experience, although we do provide training - after all, good care comes from the HEART.
