Day-to-day of the role: Teaching: Plan and deliver effective lessons using a variety of teaching strategies to ensure all pupil groups can access the curriculum. Create high-quality resources and contribute to the department’s resource pool. Incorporate ICT into teaching to support learning and professional tasks. Uphold relevant regulatory frameworks in teaching activities. Learning: Monitor pupil progress using diverse strategies. Foster successful relationships with pupils, creating a supportive and positive learning environment. Engage in school-wide discussions and initiatives to enhance pupil learning. Assessment and Feedback: Employ a range of assessment methods to monitor and support pupil progress. Provide clear and constructive feedback to pupils and communicate effectively with parents. Utilize an understanding of Assessment for Learning (AfL) principles in all assessment activities. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development within and beyond the school’s formal programs. Use self-evaluation to inform professional growth. Co-curricular Involvement: Actively participate in the wider life of the school, including pastoral duties as a tutor. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience in delivering a curriculum accessible to diverse pupil groups including more able, SEND, and EAL pupils.
