Key Responsibilities: Maintain & Repair AGL Systems: Ensure compliance with CAP 168 standards, carrying out scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs. Critical Systems Support: Manage AGL operational generators, UPS, and standby systems to ensure reliable performance. High Voltage Switching: Serve as an approved person for AGL high voltage switching/isolation, adhering to safety protocols. Collaborative Projects: Lead small installation projects and support larger initiatives with external contractors. 24/7 Support: Provide on-call support for Air Traffic Control and contribute to safety across the airfield. Required Qualifications & Skills: Time Served Electrical Apprenticeship City & Guilds 2360 Pt2 & AM2, NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation BS7621 18th Edition, Electrical Installation Proven track record in electrical systems, especially in complex environments like airfields Strong written and spoken English, good physical fitness Full UK driving license Desirable: City & Guilds Accredited AGL Courses (AGL 1,2, AGLT, AGLSM) AGL Authorised Person (APAGL) certification Knowledge of CAA/ICAO AGL standards Additional Info: Full training provided, including potential residential courses Role requires CTC clearance and security checks Applicants must have lived in the UK for at least 3 years If you’re ready to make a critical impact on airfield operations, apply now to join our team as an Airfield Lighting Systems Engineer Due to security checks required for this role, all candidates will be subject to a basic criminal record check (DBS) and must be able to provide a continuous five year checkable work history with verified gaps in employment.
