As a Store Administrator, you will manage the administrative and logistical aspects of our store, ensuring that supplies, tools, and equipment are well-organized and available for our construction projects. You will work with us to set up and maintain a system that manages inventory, including signing items in and out, while liaising with our in-house buyer to ensure timely restocking of essential materials. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Your ability to coordinate inventory, handle documentation, and support operational efficiency will be essential in maintaining smooth workflows.
Store Administration:
1. Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and filing
2. Prepare and maintain reports, including stock levels, order status, and inventory performance metrics
3. Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
Stock Control and Logistics:
1. Maintain a system for managing inventory, including signing items in and out
2. Maintain accurate stock records and assist in inventory control, replenishment, and organization
3. Oversee deliveries and shipments, liaising with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of materials
4. Conduct routine inventory audits and resolve discrepancies promptly
Forklift Operations (Desirable):
1. Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials within the store or yard
2. Assist with organizing and maintaining materials in a safe and accessible manner
3. Comply with all safety standards and procedures related to equipment operation
Customer and Team Support:
1. Support the construction team by ensuring equipment and materials are ready for use
2. Assist with scheduling, coordinating deliveries, and managing tool repairs or maintenance
Order and Financial Management:
1. Work closely with the in-house buyer to restock items based on inventory needs and project requirements
2. Process orders, invoices, and receipts, ensuring they are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
3. Monitor and manage petty cash and expense records as needed
Requirements:
1. Previous experience in an administrative or operational role within the construction or warehouse sector is highly desirable
2. ITSSAR-accredited forklift license (highly preferred)
3. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with stock management systems
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
6. Understanding of health and safety standards within a construction or warehouse environment
