Job Description
As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will support the Management\nAccountant in delivering timely and accurate monthly management accounts and\nimproving current reports and processes. This position is a 9-month FTC\ncovering ParentalMaternity Leave. \n \nKey Requirements: \nAt least 3 years of experience in management accounting, particularly in\njournal preparation, with proven expertise in balance sheet management.
\nAdvanced Excel skills, including the use of pivot tables and formulas, are\nessential requirements of the role. System-wise, familiarity with SUN and Q\nsystems is preferred.\n\nKey responsibilities include\n\n * Assisting with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations in collaboration with the Financial Accounting team.\n * Ensuring management accounting tasks are up to date under the direction of the Management Accountant (MA).\n * Preparing monthly and quarterly reports, ensuring timely production of monthly financial statements.\n * Driving Value for Money across the organisation.\n * Completing monthly journals with appropriate supporting documentation.\n * Supporting the annual production of financial statements and external audit preparation.\n * Managing the full cycle of HOME foundation transactions.\n * Participating in process improvement initiatives following system implementation.\n * Monitoring and correcting transaction coding, including purchase order accruals.\n * Undertaking any other reasonable ad hoc duties as required.\n\n \nRequirements\n\nWe are seeking a motivated and technically competent individual who meets the\nfollowing criteria:\n\n * Experience:\n\n * Practical experience in management accounting.\n * Demonstrated expertise in preparing financial and management reports, including forecasts and budgets.\n * Experience in the social housing sector (preferred).\n * Qualifications:\n\n * Part-qualified member of a professional accounting body (ACCA, CIMA, CA, ACA) and actively pursuing full qualifications.\n * Skills:\n\n * Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.\n * Comprehensive understanding of current accounting practices and standards.\n * Experience using the SUN system and Q (preferred).\n\n**Whilst this is a maternityparental leave cover role, in a business our size\nand with the transformation we are going through, there is a possibility that\nthis could either be extended, or other opportunities may arise; many of our\ntalented colleagues started at Paradigm as temporaryinterim and have gone on\nto forge successful careers with us.
