Nursery Practitioner
Job Type: Full-time, 5 days per week

Reed Education are currently exclusively supporting a lovely nursery in the Scunthorpe area with their recruitment for a Level 6 qualified Early Years Practitioner. To add to their friendly team, they require someone to begin in September to cover a maternity leave until July.
The nursery is of average size with less than 60 children on roll, meaning the team is small but very close-knit. The staff work extremely closely together to plan, educate, and inspire the children, and so you would be joining a supportive, friendly, and passionate team.
Day to Day of the Role:
1. Provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment for children to learn and develop.
2. Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
3. Observe, assess, and record each child’s progress, sharing outcomes with parents and colleagues.
4. Maintain a clean and organised setting that meets health and safety standards.
5. Collaborate with other team members to create a cohesive and supportive environment.
6. Attend staff meetings and participate in training and development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Level 6 qualification (e.g. BA Honors in Childcare or QTS etc).
2. Proven experience working in an EYFS setting.
3. An enhanced DBS check with child barred list (this can be applied for through Reed).
4. Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
5. Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with children, parents, and staff.
6. A commitment to continuous professional development.
