Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down the barriers that stop people getting the support they need to live a life they value. We tackle poverty and disadvantage in communities, through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing and related support.
We have almost 200 services around England – and nearly 3,500 amazing staff and volunteers who run them. Every year our services support around 125,000 people.

Waythrough Education Centre
Waythrough's Education Centre is a thriving, ambitious, exciting and innovative place to work! Our holistic education programmes are highly effective at supporting our learners to make progress from their starting points, which for many of our cohort is considerable.
100% of learners said their confidence had increased since completing the course
A significant proportion of Waythrough learners have additional needs and barriers, their prior attainment is low, and learners have often had difficult experiences of education. Learners come to Humankind to gain qualifications, especially in maths and English, to help them move towards future employment; and/or to develop their independent living skills.
