Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available The Environment and Release Manager role provides leadership and accountability for all CI/CD and project led deliverables for our core applications. They will use their knowledge to agree and document an environment and release strategy to govern and manage the requirements for Infrastructure and Application Development within the Azure Cloud Infrastructure. This will require the development of schedules, coordinating changes, releases and deployments in a complex technology landscape, managing integrated environments with high levels of automation. Roles & Responsibilities: - Lead and govern the technical release processes required to implement changes to our core applications whilst assuring the quality of deliverables. - Responsible for agreeing and documenting the release schedule for each application, working with the support teams and wider stakeholders. - Reviewing, developing and managing the DevOps repositories, pipeline, code branching, with version control and governance. - Leading technical team members and driving changes to meet the requirements as set out in the environment and release strategy. What do I need? To be considered for this role, we require someone with extensive experience working within complex environments, have strong interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate with both technical and non technical team members and stakeholders at multiple levels, to be able to pull together the information required to be successful. This requires a high level understanding of Azure Cloud infrastructure and technologies and may require some hands on technical support, however this is mostly a management role. A systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving is also required with demonstrable leadership, great communication skills, in particular: project planning, presenting, collaborating and partnering with stakeholders. - Good technical / Core Azure skills: App Services, APIM, Azure AD, App Insights & Azure Monitor, App Gateway, DevOps pipelines, Terraform / IaC resource deployment, ETL - ADF / data warehousing. - Development experience with managing multiple release streams across multiple applications utilizing: YAML, SSDT and DevOps tools. - Demonstrable experience working on major projects within a Cloud Infrastructure environment.
