About the Role: As an Unqualified SEN Teacher, you will work closely with experienced teaching staff and support teams to deliver high-quality, tailored lessons that engage and inspire students with diverse learning needs. Key Responsibilities: Support and deliver individualised teaching and learning plans across the school. Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the specific needs of pupils. Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. Work collaboratively with SEN professionals, teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers. Contribute to the assessment and tracking of pupil progress, behaviour, and development. Support pupils’ social and emotional growth alongside academic learning. Be proactive in adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs and learning styles. Who We’re Looking For: We welcome applications from individuals with a genuine passion for SEN and education - formal teaching qualifications are not required for this role, although relevant experience is a plus. Essential Skills & Attributes: A strong interest in working with children and young people with special needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD). Patience, empathy, and a calm, nurturing approach. Ability to build meaningful relationships with pupils and colleagues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Resilience and flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations. A team player who is keen to learn and grow in a supportive environment. Desirable: Experience in an SEN setting (as a TA, LSA, or support worker). Understanding of behaviour management techniques and inclusive teaching strategies.
