A global manufacturer of a wide range of high-quality products for the aerospace and defence sectors is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their well-established team on the weekend shift. This role offers a superb manufacturing facility that includes a variety of automated and semi-automated machinery, along with extensive training and personal development opportunities. The team consists of 16 maintenance engineers across all shift patterns, providing ample internal support. This position offers a salary of circa £54.5K plus overtime availability, a quarterly bonus, and an amazing benefits package.
Responsibilities for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer include:
1. Providing electrical maintenance to a range of machinery including CNC, EDM, manual, robots, conveyors, welding, and finishing equipment.
2. Reacting to urgent breakdowns, reducing machine downtimes to a minimum.
3. Performing electrical repairs to motors, drives, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring, switches, relays, contactors, and sensors.
4. Conducting PLC fault finding to trace back faults.
5. Following PPMs to ensure all equipment is routinely serviced and inspected.
To be successful in the role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer, we're looking for:
1. Previous experience as an electrical maintenance engineer, maintaining production machinery.
2. Apprentice trained, along with a recognized electrical engineering qualification.
3. Ability to carry out repairs and breakdown response effectively and through PPMs.
4. Understanding and interpreting electrical drawings.
5. Flexibility towards working permanent weekend shifts.

Initially, the role would start on morning shifts for the first 3 months during training. Once trained, the position would then move to a fixed weekend shift of 36 hours per week, 05:45 am - 17:45 pm Fri/Sat/Sun.
