Job summary
An exciting opportunity for two Lead Pharmacy Technician roles has become available within the Pharmacy Directorate Team, which is part of the Medical Directorate. Supporting the Head of Pharmacy, Associate and Assistant Directors of Pharmacy and their team, you will be providing leadership to an experienced, redesigned, Pharmacy Team into our next chapter as an ICB, working with the wider healthcare system to integrate pharmacy and medicines optimisation.
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy technician with leadership experience, including managing teams, strategic planning, building and maintaining stakeholder networks.
You will support the Head of Pharmacy, Associate and Assistant Directors of Pharmacy and the work of the Medical Directorate in delivering high quality, safe and effective care across Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
The available posts include a permanent full time post and a secondment full time post until the 31st August 2025.

Main duties of the job
1. Support the work of the Pharmacy Directorate and Medical Directorate in delivering high quality, safe and effective care across care pathways within Joined Up Care Derbyshire whilst delivering Population Health Management, prevention and the effective reduction in Health Inequalities;
2. Support the Head of Pharmacy, Associate and Assistant Directors of Pharmacy and their team to ensure that their workstream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery:
3. Lead and drive Pharmacy Directorate Team priorities, matrix working across the Team;
4. Manage the Pharmacy Directorate Team's business function to improve the quality, safety and cost effectiveness of relevant clinical interventions whilst achieving medicines and pharmacy cost efficiencies savings. This includes developing and managing the Pharmacy Directorate Team's business plan, progress and reporting risk and issue management;
5. Line manage and be responsible for the workload and performance of other staff as required, and carry out their recruitment, induction and training, appraisal and sickness absence monitoring;
6. Lead the successful delivery of projects, to achieve key ICB and/or ICS targets, including but not limited to cost efficiency schemes, including the set-up, implementation and evaluation as assigned by the Associate/Assistant Directors or Heads of Pharmacy;

7. BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent;
8. BTEC Professional diploma (or willingness to work towards) or equivalent level of experience;
