Job requirements Are you an experienced Senior Pensions Administrator looking for a fresh challenge? Do you want to be part of a supportive, friendly team, working together to provide an excellent level of service? In this role you will play a key role in supporting clients and scheme members through the queries arising from divorce and the financial impact relating to pension benefits. As well as using your expertise to peer review, coach and support other team members. You will use your technical knowledge to advise on procedural and legislative changes, and support client relationships through maintaining service and disclosure requirements and process improvement. This role will work on a hybrid basis from our office in Chichester. (The core team is based in Chichester, but other UK office would be adaptable). What you’ll be doing: Communicating with clients, scheme members and third parties on complex queries when required via letter, email and telephone. Gain a thorough understanding of the divorce processes administered in the team and ensure activities are processed in line with the individual scheme rules and legislation. Updating pensions data and answer enquiries to the required standard using both automated and non-automated manual/system processes across a wide range of schemes. Perform checking activity as required to support team members and use MI reporting to monitor service levels and disclosures. Ensuring errors, omissions and complaints are handled in accordance with agreed procedures and within appropriate timescales. Keep abreast of technical developments, procedural and legislative changes, able to discuss and act upon the implications. Supporting members of the team with developmental through both peer review and people performance and development. Deputising for NorthStar performance reviews. What we’re looking for Experience liaising with members and ideally clients and trustees. Ability to peer review to a high standard of accuracy. Strong knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) schemes and governing legislation issues. Knowledge of UK pensions legislation, and preferably understanding of impact of Family Law (although training will be provided on this). Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to analyse and improve processes. People performance management – desirable Relevant professional qualification (e.g. PMI) – desirable.
