About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons to Key Stages 3-5, including A-Level.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that incorporate a variety of historical sources and perspectives.
* Facilitate in-depth discussions and debates, encouraging students to analyse and evaluate historical events and interpretations.
* Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and participate in departmental meetings.
* Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as history clubs and museum visits, to enhance student learning.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in History.
* Extensive experience teaching History to A-Level, with a proven track record of achieving excellent student results.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to present complex historical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
* Commitment to the values and ethos of Church of England education.
