Job Description Objective: Manages overall field service operations at the assigned airframer (such as Boeing, Airbus or Embraer) facility location to ensure employee safety, product quality, customer requirements, manpower allocation, materials/cost, and operational budget are met. Maintains a professional working relationship with all departments within Safran Seats (Safran Seats France, Safran Seats UK, Safran Seats USA and Safran Seat Shells), the airframer and airline customers. This position reports to the Director of OSS and works under general supervision. Main Function Responsibilities A) Assures all delivered Safran Seats flow through the airframer system to meet airframer aircraft delivery schedules. B) Ensures compliance with FAA regulations and quality standards at the airframer facility. C) Responsible for the FOD program at the air framer for the On Site Support team, including to the monitoring and control of the technicians controlled tools. D) Manages the replacement order process for defective or airframer damaged components. E) Maintains visibility of all Safran Seats delivered products to ensure product quality, customer requirements, and cost. F) Develops and monitors quality program to minimize repetitive mistakes and rework. G) Maximizes manpower, equipment and facility utilization. H) Reviews overhead costs, product quality, and inventory to ensure the customer service center to operating within established budgets. I) Manages up to 20 employees at the air framer in addition to additional support requests from 3rd party sub contractors. J) Responsible for continuously improving the skills and competence of the technicians to ensure the team is up to date with all upcoming technologies and systems. K) Responsible for the overall monitoring, allocation of resources and activities to ensure Head of Version programs are assessed for risk with mitigation plans in place for each identified risk area prior to delivery to the air framer site. L) Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. M) Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. N) Maintains an effective safety program to prevent injuries and lost time. O) Performs other duties as assigned Job Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. • 5-8 years of related experience required, of which 2 of those years must be in the aircraft industry. • 2-4 years of prior supervisor/manager experience required. • Strong knowledge of commercial aircraft seating products; involving but not limited to repair systems, operations, methods, procedures, and related FAA requirements. • Must have the skills and experience to effectively inter-act with the customer. • Must have excellentinfluential and negotiation skills and be very comfortable in adversarial business and customer environments. • Must have a very good working knowledge of the standard suite of office software products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, et al.) • Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. • Ability to read and review written communication. • Fluent in English. • Good Administrative and organizational skills. • Effective interpersonal and team building skills a must in order to work with specific needs and requirements of airframer. • Comfortable managing multiple demands from internal and external customers simultaneously and driving efficient solutions • Very strong communication skills (verbal and written), following up requests and managing escalation and de-escalation with a high level of reactivity • Must be able to define burn down/ recovery plans and articulate those plans as needed to high levels of leadership internally and externally with a high level of precision. • PowerBI knowledge desirable • Leading or contributing to Continuous Improvement projects What's my next step?
