Job overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the chance to join our diabetes clinical nurse specialist team. The post holder will work as part of the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, Specialist Diabetes Nursing Team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a member of a specialist multidisciplinary team comprising consultants, nurses, dietitians, and support staff to develop an innovative integrated service.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Nurse Specialist role (Diabetes):
An exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist has become available to work within the Diabetes & Endocrinology Team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB). We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who wishes to become part of a successful team working across Southern Derbyshire and East Staffordshire.
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
* Demonstrable experience within an acute inpatient setting or working within a community setting
* Relevant experience in diabetes specific community, inpatient and outpatient settings
* Ability to travel between sites
* Ability to use IT systems and work processes
* Nurse Prescriber
* Experience in audit and/or research
* Experience in leadership and management of staff at Band 6 AfC level or above
