What you'll be doing
1. Ensure all operations conducted in line with the minimum Balfour Beatty H&S standards procedures, and all relevant UK legislation (BS7121, PUWER, LOLER)
2. On-site management of tower crane operations
3. Management of asset transport and logistics
4. Ensuring appropriate asset records are kept (repairs, servicing, compliance etc.)
5. Ensuring all asset defects are rectified in a prompt, safe and timely manner
6. Receiving and rectifying on site complaints
7. Responding and rectifying asset breakdowns
8. Co-ordination of asset repair and maintenance
9. Carrying out routine repairs and maintenance on assets
10. Identifying and raising to management of any operational deficiencies or areas of improvement
11. Supporting the Tower Cranes Management team with any relevant tasks
12. To report all unsafe events and good practice events through the Balfour Beatty observation app.
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
Repair and maintain tower cranes in line with relevant RAMS, policies and procedures and OEM requirements
Ensure the depot is kept clean and tidy in order to facilitate a safe working environment
Ensure relevant task briefings have been carried out prior to tasks undertaken
To ensure the works are carried out in the most efficient and safe manner Notify the Service & Maintenance Manager of any matters that affect the progress of works (including breakdowns & damages, etc.)
Ensure maintenance/inspection checks are carried out, reports are correctly completed on time and submitted to the Service & Maintenance Manager Actively & positively participate in Daily Activity Briefings and all relevant team briefings
Undertake training as required to retain and obtain required competency levels To report any problems or safety issues to the Crane Supervisor / Manager
To ensure a quality service is delivered to the customer Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental
CPCS Competent A04 Tower Crane Operator Card (Blue Card) with the following endorsements: o A Trolley Jib Cab Controlled o B Luffing Jib Cab Controlled o C Trolley Jib Remote Controlled
CPCS Competent A61 Appointed Person Lifting Operations Card (Blue Card)
CPCS Competent A02 Crawler Crane above 10t Card (Blue Card) with the following endorsements: o A66d 360 Pick and Carry Duties
