The role of the Team manager is important to us. You will be responsible for the ongoing line management of up to 8 FTE who are Desk-based sales executives, cross-selling Commercial Fleet insurance to existing group customers, alongside working on Inbound leads and Outbound data. We would love to welcome you to our Leeds and Sheffield office, working hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Job Description
* Working amongst your team, assisting in attaining new business, managing customer onboarding, and retaining and developing robust customer relationships through cross-sell.
* Sales Skills Coaching: Provide tailored coaching and feedback to ensure that agents are consistently improving in their sales strategies, closing techniques, and customer relationships.
* Technical Product Knowledge: Work closely with agents to ensure they have in-depth knowledge of insurance products and are able to communicate these effectively and confidently sell to customers.
* Performance Monitoring & Improvement: Use data-driven insights to track mentor effectiveness and agent performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous development.
* A proactive approach to assisting and driving your team to reach KPI’s and targets consistently - following up appropriate business leads and actively leading from the front and selling our products where necessary.
* Managing the day-to-day activities of the team to ensure activity/productivity targets are met.
* Motivating the team to display a winning attitude and in turn consistently exceed sales targets.
* Conducting, documenting, and following up regular performance reviews with your team – incl. File audits and call reviews.
* Conducting team meetings daily in line with the needs of the business, to maximise sales results and returns.
* Delivering performance improvement where required to quickly alleviate underperformance.
* Delivering and displaying best practice and excellence in customer care.
* Dealing with customer escalations and ensuring prompt resolution.
* Working with peers in the office to maximise cross-sell opportunity for the group.
Qualifications
* Strong experience in SME Commercial Fleet & Mini Fleet insurance, including Hire & Reward, Own Goods and HGVs (up to 15 vehicles).
* Commercial Experience in non-motor products would be highly desired - such as commercial combined, property, PI, tradesman, EL/PL insurance.
* Technological Proficiency: Experience with working in a CRM system and Acturis Insurance back office is preferred, demonstrating your ability to leverage technology for efficient operations - specifically in Microsoft Office packages and business CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
* Demonstrated ability to identify clients' needs, adapt to their unique challenges, and provide innovative propositions.
* Manage own workload effectively and support your line manager.
* Interpersonal skills with the ability to influence decision/non-decision makers.
* Strong team building skills and an ability to build effective relationships with customers.
* Enthusiastic self-starter, driven by the intent to succeed and achieve company goals.
