As the Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator, you will coordinate the Building & Infrastructure Services across the North East sites, using contracted services where required, in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner in order to meet customer and legislative requirements.

Your responsibilities:
1. Managing multiple teams of contractors and third-party organisations (external maintenance supervisors) ensuring operations, projects and maintenance work is of a sufficient standard and executed to JM Site Safety Requirements. Prioritises and assigns contractor tasks to meet working schedules.
2. Delivering site inductions and toolbox talks to contractors and authorising safe systems of work documentation including high hazard permits. Ensuring equipment in use is appropriate to the task and meets Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations.
3. Identifying and appointing appropriate contractors and services, supporting the introduction of service level agreements. Developing and maintaining relationships with agencies and contracted services organisations.
4. Creating, managing and maintaining records, site surveys and reports to assist with resource planning and to ensure that all legislative assessments and inspections are up to date and auditable.
5. Ensuring statutory testing/ inspections of key safety systems are carried out to required standards, including pressure systems, utility equipment and emergency protective equipment.
6. Supporting the annual maintenance site shutdowns of Stockton and Billingham Sites to ensure essential works are carried out with minimal disruption to business and experimental operations.
Requirements for the role:
1. NVQ level 3 or equivalent
2. Knowledge of safe systems of work.
3. IT literate (including excel)
4. Practical experience of contractor management, preferably in a chemical engineering environment. (Desirable)
5. Understanding of EHS issues (Desirable)
6. Safety Qualification i:e:- IOSH/NEBOSH (Desirable)
7. Asbestos management (Desirable)
