Job Description
Wavestone UK are seeking to hire Senior Consultants & Managers – Insurance UK Consulting
Over the years, we have established ourselves as a strong partner in the UK insurance sector. We remain dedicated to continually enhancing our service portfolio to help our customers navigate future challenges and seize new opportunities in challenging environments. Becoming part of the UK team will present new opportunities for you to make a positive impact as we embark on serving our existing customer portfolio, both here in the UK and internationally, and attracting new Insurance clients. We currently advise 13 of the largest 15 European Insurers and 4 of the top 5 reinsurers .
This will mean working with our key clients on a wide range of advisory projects, bringing deep business and technology expertise to help address opportunities and challenges across their organisations.
Your role as a Senior Consultant or Manager means being a key player in the development of the UK practice in terms of:
1. Industry Expertise and Experience: Demonstrate a proven track record in delivering insurance transformation projects across the value chain, leveraging technology to drive operational efficiency and competitive advantage.
2. Business Development: Participate in the business developmentactivity of the office which will include full lifecycle from pre-sales support, identification of core insurance opportunities & scope the delivery phase of engagements.
3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the technology and insurance sector.
4. People Development – Support the development of the UK team, leading, mentoring, and coaching junior consultants on both client engagements, and internally.
5. Internal Development – Contribute to various internal activities (career development, thought leadership, recruitment, etc.)
Qualifications
To be considered for this role:
6. Solid foundations in consulting skills in external client-facing consulting or equivalent role (Insurance transformation, management, or Advisory focused).
7. Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of an organisation, experience in managing and leading teams, developing and coaching junior members of staff based on your profile and background.
8. Proven background supporting strategic transformation programmes and strong acumen enhancing advisory credibility.
9. Skills to create and deliver meaningful presentations with an impact and produce high quality reports.
10. Comprehensive knowledge of one or more of the following insurance key topics:
11. Core System Transformation : Expertise in the introduction or migration of core insurance systems, including integration with industry platforms.
12. Architecture Design : Proficiency in designing future-proof, functional, and technical architectures for core insurance applications.
13. Business Process Analysis : Analysing and optimising core insurance processes (, policy administration, claims, and underwriting) to drive operational efficiency.
14. Systems Migration & Integration : Experience in managing migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions from legacy systems to modern platforms.
15. Digital Transformation in Insurance : Supporting clients in digitising their core business, focusing on process automation and the adoption of modern technology solutions
16. Data Analytics : Expertise in leveraging data for underwriting, claims prediction, fraud detection, and pricing models.
17. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with insurance regulations such as GDPR, Solvency II, and IFRS 17.

Travel and Location
26. Employees are not required to work in a Wavestone office on a full-time basis but are required to commute to the office /client site, whenever necessary. Wavestone UK office is in the heart of the city of London.
