Job Overview
We are looking for a Band 7 Community Mental Health Nurse to work in our new service, the Initiating Treatment Team which was set up in April 23.
This role will give you the opportunity to network, build relationships with services & patients from across the Primary Care Network.
The successful candidate will work closely with our new Primary Care Network Mental Health Team to facilitate reviews of patient needs and initiate mental health treatment for a range of conditions, promoting health wellbeing through health promotion and education, and providing education, monitoring, and initiation of mental health medication management in primary care.
Main Duties of the Job
* Registered Mental Health (RMN)
* Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification or willing to undertake the training
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development (CPD)
* Experience of working within a Mental Health setting
* Ability to work under pressure and manage stress
* Robust clinical judgement
* Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility
* Participate in Patient Safety investigations and complaints
* Mentorship and supervision of students
* Develop innovative practice for referrals and clinical caseload management
* To hold a UK driving licence, essential for travel to Primary care network bases and trust sites.
