Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Payroll Administrator (Controller) to join our Payroll team at our Appleton Thorn site.
As Payroll Admin you will provide a comprehensive and accurate payroll support service covering the employee lifecycle process in a timely manner and in accordance with employment legislation and Company policy and procedures.
As the successful candidate, you will contribute to the overall success of the business, and will report directly to the site Payroll Manager.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday hours are 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday and Tuesday 8am to 3.30pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Job responsibilities of Payroll Admin include:
Process monthly and weekly payrolls, including the calculation and accurate input of weekly and monthly timesheet and expense claims, in accordance with agreed processes and procedures and undertake the checking process within the required timeframes.
Ensure that all absence and attendance records and contractual and statutory payments such as SMP/CSP/SSP are calculated and entered on the HR and Payroll systems accurately and completed within required timeframes.
Set up statutory and third-party deductions within the payroll system, including attachment of earnings orders and ensure that they are accurately deducted in a timely manner.
Generate and distribute payroll related reports as directed by the Payroll Manager.
Administer the payroll in-box and deal with and respond to queries in a timely manner.
To work collaboratively with the HR team to make sure a professional, effective, and efficient service is given to all colleagues across the business.
Respond to wage queries on the transport management system
Maintaining accurate data input, hours, sickness and absence for all employees.
Qualifications
To apply for the role of Payroll Admin, you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
Prior payroll experience.
Capable using spreadsheets
Excellent attention to detail
Good knowledge of MS Office Excel
Ability to work to the deadlines and manage workload
Regular output / fulfilment of tasks, on time and with limited disruption to the business
Accuracy of payroll with minimal errors within the control of the team
Self-motivated, confident and hard working
Payroll level 3 would be beneficial
Previous iTrent experience is beneficial
