The role
As our Sales Manager, you will lead the development and execution of a proactive strategic sales approach for the entire group, encompassing accommodation, food and beverage, weddings, and events. Your role will involve creating and nurturing a high-performing team dedicated to securing new business and expanding existing accounts.
The role reports directly to the Hotel General Manager and is part of a team based in our Holiday Inn Leicester Wigston. This role will require national travel.
Key responsibilities:
Effectively represent the company with in-depth knowledge of our offerings.
Research consumer needs to align our solutions accordingly.
Hire, train, motivate, and guide a sales team.
Achieve company goals by planning, setting sales targets, analysing performance, and reviewing results in revenue meetings.
Assist the Hotel General Manager with weekly forecasts and budget planning.
Continuously develop hiring, training, and leadership skills to ensure effective sales strategies.
Generate leads and nurture client relationships.
Create and implement a strategic sales plan to expand our customer base.
Meet with potential clients to build lasting relationships.
Recruit and coach sales representatives while monitoring their performance.
Identify team knowledge gaps and develop plans to address them.
Ensure company quotas are met through daily check-ins with the sales team.
Manage and contract LNR accounts and oversee the annual Wish Want Walk process.
Provide social media content to promote the hotel.
Engage with hotel strategy by promoting events, local attractions, and more.
Carry out other reasonable tasks assigned by your line manager.

Previous experience within a Sales Manager role, within the hospitality industry.
