I2 Group, a Harris Computer company, are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer with strong skills in JavaScript, Typescript, and React, to join one of our core enterprise development teams and help us enhance our i2 products and services, which are used by more than 2000 law enforcement, national security, military and major commercial organizations in 130 countries across the world.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining current and new capability to an existing large customer base. This permanent position will be performed on a remote basis with a requirement to visit the i2 Office in Cambridge, UK as and when there is a business need to do so (circa 2 days per month).
Your duties and responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
1. Help develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable frontend code using HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
2. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality user interfaces.
3. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize solutions for maximum speed and scalability.
4. Integrate frontend components seamlessly using RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
5. Conduct thorough testing (automated and manual) to identify, fix bugs, and performance issues.
6. Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing to enhance team skills and productivity.
7. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications are built using the best practices.

What we are seeking:
13. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
14. Mid to senior level commercial front-end engineering experience.
15. Demonstrable success and involvement in software design and implementation of production-ready clients using technologies such as: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, Typescript, and React
16. Experience with APIs and using patterns such as REST and GraphQL.
17. Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software.
18. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
19. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable (but not essential)
20. Experience creating accessible and globalized web applications (A11Y, I18N + L10N).
21. Good understanding of backend development using Node.js.
22. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker).
