Role Overview:
This role will lead and manage the design process for our diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects. This role will be pivotal in ensuring our developments meet the highest standards of design, functionality, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong architectural background, excellent project management skills, and a passion for creating exceptional spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Leadership
* Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring projects align with company vision and client requirements.
* Develop and present design concepts, plans, and specifications.
* Provide design guidance and expertise to internal teams and external consultants.
* Stay abreast of current design trends, materials, and technologies.
1. Project Management
* Manage design budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
* Coordinate and liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
* Monitor design progress and ensure compliance with building regulations and planning permissions.
* Manage the procurement of design services and materials.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Client & Stakeholder Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
* Represent company at design meetings and presentations.
* Address design-related queries and concerns effectively.
Technical Expertise
* Ensure all designs adhere to relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
* Review and approve technical drawings and specifications.
* Utilize CAD and BIM software to produce and manage design documentation.
* Manage and control the BIM process.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Degree in Architecture (or equivalent).
* ARB/RIAI registration (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in architectural design and project management.
* Proven experience in residential and/or commercial development projects.
* Strong understanding of building regulations, planning permissions, and construction processes.
* Proficiency in CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as of a team.
* Strong understanding of the Northern Irish and UK planning system.
