The Womens, Childrens and Clinical Services Business Unit is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is interested in a career in operational management at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and evolving Acute Paediatrics service, playing a key role in shaping its future development We are looking for a motivated, driven and skilled individual with a passion for service improvement in a fast-paced environment and the ability to drive change within teams. This role is part time - 26 hours a week (working days to be discussed at interview) Reporting to the Service Manager the post-holder will work to operationally manage the delivery of the paediatric service across the ward, Childrens Assessment Unit, Accident and Emergency and Outpatients. Main duties of the job Duties will include monitoring pathways within paediatrics, operational managing delays which impact on achievement of RTT, engaging with clinical staff to ensure job plans are effective and activity is managed in a timely manner, reporting performance data at relevant forums and utilising management information to improve efficiency. The role will involveworking with the Associate Director of Operations, Clinical Director, Associate Director of Nursing, Deputy Associate Director of Operations, Service Managers, Matrons and Clinical Leads to ensure the safe, effective and efficient management of Paediatrics to plan and implement services and to deliver the highest quality of care to patients and their families in line with national performance targets. You will need a sound understanding of management processes and procedures as well as service improvement methodologies and be able to deliver to standards and deadlines.
