Employee Relations (ER) Manager
Lilac Street Limited are an employment agency recruiting on behalf of a well known, UK based hospitality brand.
Role Overview The ER Manager oversees Employee Relations (ER) services across the company, UK, Ireland, and European territories, ensuring consistent policies, frameworks, and operational ER support. This role involves managing ER issues, drafting contracts, seeking legal counsel, and advising on ER strategies.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the international ER expert, ensuring compliance and policy alignment across territories.
* Develop and refine HR policies while respecting local legal requirements.
* Advise on business changes, including restructures and outsourcing.
* Lead on complex ER cases, employment tribunals, and settlements, minimizing litigation risks.
* Train HR teams to handle ER issues confidently and competently.
* Provide toolkits and frameworks for managers to manage ER effectively.
* Keep HR teams updated on employment law and best practices.
* Support employee forums and work councils to foster engagement.
* Ensure legal compliance in contracts, policies, and procedures.
* Establish clear ER processes and deliver timely, accurate ER support.
* Develop ER reports, dashboards, and metrics to track performance and improvements.
* Manage external legal and occupational health relationships.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Knowledge
* Recent ER Manager or senior HR experience ideally in an international setting.
* Background in retail, hospitality, logistics, or other fast-paced, multi-site industries.
* Strong expertise in managing ER cases, disputes, and policy development.
* Knowledge of UK and Ireland employment law; experience with European labor laws is a plus.
* Proven ability to drive organisational change and support restructures.

* Ability to develop policies, frameworks, and training programs from scratch.
